Over the past 17 years, I have taken bridal and family photos of over 2,000 couples.
This time I’d like to share some photos from my private trip to Hokkaido. If you are planning a trip to Japan, be sure to visit Hokkaido in addition to Tokyo. I’m sure you’ll be blessed with lots of wonderful experiences, including delicious food and beautiful scenery.

Why I Chose Hokkaido for My Latest Adventure
Hokkaido is an attractive travel destination for Japanese people as well, for many reasons, including its overwhelmingly majestic scenery that cannot be found in other prefectures, delicious food, and pleasant summer weather.
My previous trips to Hokkaido have mainly been to the outskirts of Sapporo,
so this time I made visiting the Kushiro Wetlands a major theme of my trip.
Because I wanted to experience the majestic nature.
Encounters with animals
I encountered many animals on this trip, but one of the most memorable was a herd of deer I came across at dusk.
I came across the herd by chance when I stopped the car to take photos of an overpass over an abandoned railway line. After taking a few photos, the leader of the herd noticed us, let out a high-pitched “beep,” and quickly ran off upstream.
It really brought home the grandeur of Hokkaido, knowing that animals live their daily lives beneath the roads where traffic never stops. This is something that would be unthinkable in Tokyo.

This time, I decided on a general destination and traveled by rental car.
Along the way, I stopped to take photos whenever I saw something interesting.
While traveling in the car, I saw a fox running from a shrine on top of a mountain and passing through the torii gate. In Japan, many shrines enshrine foxes as gods, so I felt a mysterious feeling that it might have been a god.
