Family photoshoot at Shibuya Scramble Crossing in Tokyo with parents and two teenage sons smiling together

Shibuya Photo Tour: Private Photoshoot at Scramble Crossing & Hidden Spots

Do you have any of these concerns?

“What kind of experience can you have when you have your photo taken by a professional photographer in Shibuya?”

“Create memories with your family or as a couple at the famous Shibuya Scramble Crossing and other spots unique to Shibuya!”

Over the past 17 years, I have taken bridal and family photos of over 2,000 couples.
Shibuya is a popular area that cannot be missed when it comes to sightseeing in Tokyo, and I have photographed many of my clients there.
Shibuya has a wide variety of photo spots, such as “urban atmosphere,” “neon lights,” “retro alleys,” and “nature in the parks,” so anyone can take the perfect memorable photo. However, Shibuya is a large area, so if you research the places that suit your preferences in advance, you can make the most of your travel time.

Shibuya photo spots

Shibuya Scramble Crossing

Many customers say that the first thing they want to see when they come to Japan is Shibuya Crossing. Inside the intersection, you can take unique photos with architecture that makes it recognizable as Shibuya no matter where you take a photo, and the area is filled with Japanese signs.
Because it’s inside an intersection, the top priority is to take the photo safely and quickly.
So while the light is red, the photographer and customer discuss what background to use, and when the light turns green, we head to the center of the intersection and take the photo quickly, repeating this process several times.

Customers always smile and say, “This is so fun!”
This is because they go back and forth, and as the photographer, I run to the center of the intersection and encourage them to smile when taking the photo.

The retro atmosphere of Nombei Yokocho

This is a place that is popular with customers who like the retro Japanese atmosphere. It is only a three-minute walk from the scramble crossing, so I often drop in after taking photos at the crossing.
The narrow street next to the train tracks, filled with typically Japanese lanterns, signs, and electric wires, makes a great memento of a trip to Japan.
If you are lucky enough to take a photo just as a train is passing, it will capture the hustle and bustle of Shibuya and make for an interesting shot.

This is a popular place with customers, who say, “I love the lanterns, the Japanese language on the signs, and the retro atmosphere!”

We chanced upon Naoko while looking for photographers to document out recent Tokyo trip. Naoko kept in constant contact with us and even updated us with the weather conditions. Though it was a pity the weather was foggy and we could not capture Fuji-San, Naoko managed to capture something that is much more dearer to us, our smiles. Pure unadulterated happiness could be seen from our finalised pictures and we are so pleased with them. For those who worry about the language barrier, please rest assure that Naoko is fluent in English and we never had any issues with the session. We will definitely contact Naoko for future photo sessions. Thank you Naoko and Nori for your patience to my family!

Very glad to have met photographer Naoko Komuro to take our family vacation photos in Tokyo.
She made it so fun and easy for us to shoot with 2 boys aged 2 and 6. Her English language was good as well and Able communicate to us what to do and how to post. The boys were very comfortable with her and we loved the shots she took.. as seen in all the happy faces captured in some pictures attached here. Would highly recommend her for anyone who wants memorable shot for their holidays in Japan!
